IWD is a global celebration of the social, economic, cultural, and political achievements of women. It is a day to recognize the struggles and triumphs of women throughout history and to continue the pursuit of equality and justice for all women.

In the Bible, we see that Jesus often broke societal norms as he related to women. He talked with them, taught them, and recognized their contributions and he brought them value and worth when they were treated as second class citizens.
