Benjamin Britten’s St. Nicolas isn’t the Santa Claus story you know. Written in 1948, this dramatic cantata portrays the real 4th-century saint— courageous, compassionate, and human. With vivid storytelling, bold choral writing, and audience carols, Britten fuses reverence, humor, and theatrical flair to bring legend to life. Featuring tenor Asitha Tennekoon.
