Peach State Roller Derby: New Member Crash Course

Join us for a 4-week New Member Crash Course! Learn the basic skills needed for roller derby, including balance, falling, stopping, speed, and agility and become an important part of the team.

Location: Sparkles, Kennesaw
Time: 7:45–10:00 PM (please do not arrive before 7:45)

Dates & Skills Covered:

• Sept 30: Balance
• Oct 7: Falling
• Oct 14: Stopping
• Oct 21: Speed & Agility

Cost: $60

Requirements:

• Must be 18 or older
• Must be able to skate/roll in a forward direction and balance on quad skates
• Must have quad skates and required safety gear (limited loaner gear available, first come, first served, rental skates available)

Safety Gear Required:

• Helmet
• Mouthguard (you must provide your own; we do not share) Sisu mouthguards are recommended. 
• Elbow pads
• Wrist guards
• Knee pads

Optional but highly recommended:

• Protective shorts

Skates & Gear:

• Skates available for rent for $5, but we recommend using your own roller derby quad skates (with a flat heel).

• Note: You will not be allowed to skate without all required safety gear.
