Hannah Appel is an economic anthropologist studying the daily life of capitalism and the private sector in Africa. At UCLA she teaches several courses in the Global Studies and Anthropology departments, and has authored and co-authored multiple books.
The Skull Rock hike is a moderately challenging 4.6 mile loop trail in the Pacific Palisades. It goes along the Temescal Canyon Trail to Temescal Falls before making a strong but shaded ascent up to the ridge and to Skull Rock, a rock formation with excellent views of the Pacific Coast.
