Get ready for double the chemistry with two professors from the Physical Chemistry department at UCLA---joining us will be Christian Beren and Jennifer Casey!
Dr. Jennifer Casey received her Ph.D. in physical chemistry at UCLA in 2014. While she currently teaches general chemistry here at UCLA, her work also includes chemical education research. Casey is very involved with student learning and has won multiple awards for her teaching, such as the LMU Center for Teaching Excellence Credential Program (2016) and the UCLA Distinguished Teaching Award (2019), which is UCLA's highest honor for teaching.
Dr. Christian Beren is an East Coast native and Chemical Engineering graduate of Lehigh University in Pennsylvania, Beren then (recently) graduated with a Ph.D. in Physical Chemistry from UCLA in 2017. His interests include virus self-assembly, nanoparticle synthesis, RNA structure, and ice hockey.
