Untitled (Robot Story)

A combat robot in a near future conflict wakes up with more memories than it's supposed to have.

A reconnaissance drone keeps looking slightly too long at kitchens, showers, hilltops.

A couple tries to figure out love in times of war.

But none of that is real, really.

How do we tell stories in times like these? What do we do when our technology catches up with our fiction? What can we say when our metaphors break?

This bold new show, a messy blending of reality and fiction, unfolds through the onstage setup and operation of technological networks, experimental audio and video composition, poetic text, 3D animation, live camerawork, dance, puppetry, and (some) acting.

About Conscript Theatre:
Conscript Theatre is a techno-physical performance company bringing technological arts onstage alongside physical theatre, new writing and alternative dramaturgy.

Conscript have previously created several shows, including Surely Some Revelation is at Hand (2025) and Eco 40-60° (2025), a Physical theatre performance which won the Grand Prix at the Istropolitana International Theatre Festival. In 2026 (alongside the development of their new show) they have also begun to branch out into noise music, sci-fi writing, and installation pieces.

A fresh, new voice in experimental live arts, Conscript are focused on blurring lines between reality and fiction, developing immediate, prescient storytelling, and allowing the form of our equipment and media to be just as significant as our concept, narrative, and performance.
