Across a gamified vote-based performance lecture, Side Quest author Elliott Burns invites you to question what we mean when we say 'art game'. Pulling upon and unpacking multiple definitions of this term and setting them in a historical schema, What Even Is An Art Game? is an opportunity to take out your phone to strong-agree to strongly-disagree with statements, propositions, examples and the very nature of video games in gallery contexts. Views will be statistically calculated and opinions raised. Discourse, debate and diagramming is expected to follow.
