Processing Community Day Workshop: SPOKE - Physical interaction with Processing

A hands-on workshop introducing SPOKE, a capacitive-touch MIDI controller, paired with p5.js/Processing. Participants build live, generative visuals in real time — turning touches into numbers, colour, shape, and 3D geometry as they go.

Workshop Requirements: A laptop with Processing installed. A free SpokeBoard will be provided to each participant.

About Tom Fox:
Tom Fox is a creative technologist, teacher and artist who created the SPOKE board as a tool to help artists, makers, musicians easily build their own capacitive touch interfaces. He is also creative director for Hackoustic and CTO for MusicTechFest Labs.

This workshop is part of Processing Community Day, we are prioritising young people aged between 18 and 25 years old who are not in employment and education.
