Penge Art Club

Penge Art Club, is a fortnightly event hosted Upstairs at Southey Taproom

We're bringing people together to play, create, and learn. You don't need to be a skilled artist to come to an art club, you just need a desire for some time and space to mess around and try new things. 

Sunday 16th August 

We will be joined by artist-educator Sarah Ward for this bookbinding workshop where you learn how to create your own beautiful handmade book from start to finish. All materials for the workshop will be provided however, if you have any special papers maps, drawings, prints photograohs or other decorative materials you've been saving for the perfect project, feel free to bring them along and incorporate them into your book. It's a great opportunity to put those treasured scraps to use.

Sarah runs arts workshops for the National Gallery of Ireland and the Hugh Lane Gallery in Dublin, Ireland. She is currently studying for a PhD in collaboration with Draiocht Art Centre to investigate the educational relationship between the Gallery, the Artist and the Public to deepen engagement and promote diversity, equality and inclusivity in the Arts.

Sarah's coming all the way from Dublin, Ireland just for us! For anyone that's come to one of her sessions before you'll know they're an absolute treat!

The ticket price is £25.00. All materials will be provided for the session.
