Penge Art Club
On Sunday 4th October we will be joined by local designer, Claire Hartley for a cut-out poetry collage special!
During this workshop we will be sifting through books, magazines and print materials to find inspiration for our cut-out poems. It's a free and fun process and we think you will be delighted with the results.
You might be able to create multiple poems during the session, but we'll encourage you to decorate and illustrate one of your complete and favourite stanza. You'll take away a beautiful piece that you can frame. and look at everyday.

Claire Hartley is a designer and poetry enthusiast from Glasgow, now based in Croydon. An Illustration graduate of Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art & Design, she has always been drawn to the relationship between images, language and creative expression. Poetry has been a quiet constant throughout her life, helping her explore thoughts, emotions and life experiences, from the everyday to the most significant. Claire's love of the art form and a recent return to writing have inspired her to pop her head out of the poetry closet! She hopes to share her enthusiasm and admiration for poems, and encourage others to discover their own creative voice along the way.

The ticket price is £20.00 and this covers all materials but please feel free to bring along any paper, images, magazines, texts or books that might inspire you.
The ambition of Penge Art Club is that we bring people together to create, play, and learn. No need to be a skilled artist; we just want to make some space to have a go.
