This year our annual writer-parent meetup is an ALL OUT GLOW-STICK PARTY at the Marriott Lobby Bar! 

Find us by our colors - join in the fun as you decode the various rings of light encircling the wrists of your new friends!

Connect, collaborate, and expand your network with fellow parent-writers in an upbeat, supportive environment. 

Meet and mingle with Pen Parentis notables, M. M. De Voe (founder and executive director), Christina Chiu (curator and board member), authors, special guests, and several Pen Parentis Writing Fellows among others! 

Grab your Glow-Sticks from us at the bar -- or pick them up on Thursday before 4:30pm at the AWP Bookfair -- our booth is #T354! 

Learn about exclusive ONLINE programs available only to writers who also have kids - the mission of this national nonprofit is to help writers JUST LIKE YOU stay on creative track, no matter where you live or what your challenges. We will do our best to help you finish that creative project! We are genre-inclusive - and we do not judge. No gatekeepers here, just fellow writers willing to stick their necks out so you can succeed.

This party is FREE and ONSITE from 5pm - 7pm - EVERY WRITER-PARENT IS WELCOME whether or not you are Pen Parentis Members - and YES your non-writer partners and friends are also welcome!

The Lobby Bar at the JW Marriott is an easy walk from the conference center--we will be done in time to get you to the AWP keynote: Roxanne Gay!
