Fri 6 Nov 2026 19:30 - Sun 8 Nov 2026 22:30 Peony Studio, 10142

Level 2+

3-day advanced workshop in Kinbaku LuXuria style

This 3-day workshop is designed as a continuation and deepening of the material studied in Level 1 and Level 2.

We will not focus on learning completely new skill sets. Instead, we will work on how to use the technical foundations already acquired in the previous levels to create different shapes, patterns, transitions and tying possibilities.

The workshop will include many of the ties that Riccardo Wildties often teaches in classes such as “The Iconic 6” or “Body Lacing”, together with additional exercises that are usually left out of Level 1 and Level 2, and longer transition sequences.

The aim is to expand the way participants use the style: not by adding isolated techniques, but by learning how to combine, transform and connect the existing vocabulary of Kinbaku LuXuria with more precision, intention and creativity.

What we will work on

During the workshop we will focus on the material developed in Level 1 and Level 2, using it to create more complex and varied tying situations.

The work will include:

  • variations based on Level 1 and Level 2 material;
  • different shapes and patterns within Kinbaku LuXuria style;
  • exercises inspired by “The Iconic 6”;
  • body lacing structures;
  • additional ties and exercises usually not included in Level 1 and Level 2;
  • longer transition sequences;
  • combination of known elements into more articulated structures;
  • aesthetic and technical refinement;
  • adaptation of the tie to the body and to the situation;
  • development of a more personal and flexible use of the style.

This workshop is not about collecting new forms, but about learning how to make the existing vocabulary richer, more fluid and more intentional.

Who this workshop is for

This workshop is designed for experienced tying couples who have already studied the foundations of Kinbaku LuXuria and want to deepen their understanding of the style.

It is especially suitable for:

  • participants who have attended Level 1 and Level 2;
  • riggers who are solid in their Gote and in the fundamentals of the style;
  • models who are familiar with the positions and shapes studied in Level 1 and Level 2;
  • couples who want to work on variations, transitions and more articulated structures;
  • people who want to refine their technical, aesthetic and expressive use of Kinbaku LuXuria.

The workshop requires active participation from both rigger and model.

Prerequisites

For riggers

Riggers are required to:

  • have attended Level 1 and Level 2;
  • be solid in their Gote;
  • be confident with the fundamental elements of Kinbaku LuXuria style;
  • be able to manage the material from the previous levels safely and efficiently;
  • have good rope handling skills;
  • be ready to work on longer sequences, transitions and variations.

For models

Models must be:

  • familiar with the positions and shapes of Level 1 and Level 2;
  • comfortable with the intensity and demands of Kinbaku LuXuria style;
  • able to communicate sensations, limits and needs clearly;
  • ready to work on more complex structures and longer transition sequences.

The organizers and teachers reserve the right to make the final decision on participant admission, in order to ensure safety, consistency with the level of the workshop and alignment with its goals.

Switching roles with your partner will not be possible during the workshop.

What to bring

Ropes

Participants should bring a full rope set suitable for Kinbaku LuXuria practice.

Unless otherwise specified by the teachers, we recommend at least 12 ropes, preferably jute, around 7–7.5 metres long and 5 or 6 mm in diameter.

Synthetic ropes are not allowed.

Cotton, linen or other materials not suitable for this type of practice are also not recommended.

Clothing

Comfortable, fitted or sporty clothing is recommended.

For models, it is better to choose clothing suitable for rope practice, allowing freedom of movement and avoiding anything that may get caught in the ropes.

Since the workshop may include aesthetic work, shapes and presentation, it can be useful to bring clothing or elements that fit the kind of atmosphere you want to explore.

Photos and videos

Photos may be taken during exercise demos, but video and audio recording are not allowed, unless otherwise specified by the teachers.

Photos of your own partner during practice are allowed only with explicit consent and with full respect for the privacy of the other participants.

The style

The workshop follows the Kinbaku LuXuria style by Riccardo Sergnese, Wildties, ichi-ban deshi of Naka Akira.

Kinbaku LuXuria comes from the study of Naka Ryu and from a technical reworking designed to make the style more suitable for European culture, bodies and safety needs.

It is an essential, intense and communicative style, where tying is not only technical construction, but also relationship, aesthetics, tension, presence and intention.

In this workshop, the focus will be on expanding and transforming the material already studied in Level 1 and Level 2, developing a more fluid, personal and creative use of the style.
