Nikita Gale considers the season as an increasingly unreliable marker of time, as climate change makes once predictable weather patterns erratic and volatile. Performed by Harlem based ensemble The Unsung Collective, Gale re-interprets Vivaldi’s canonical work The Four Seasons by abstracting phrases from the original score and combining them with amplified sounds, to conjure the ever-changing nature of the weather in both its banality and its drama.
