Calling upon past generations of New York poets such as John Giorno and Tim Dlugos, writer and performance-poet Niko Hallikainen will premiere Lavender Deal, a reflection on a failed pandemic-era romance. The performance transforms from personal narrative to “séance” as Hallikainen summons the spirits of New York’s queer artistic legends to navigate loneliness, longing, and romance in contemporary life.
