Midlands Skillshare Event: Supporting Wellbeing Through Volunteering

Join us for a day at Ecoworks in Nottingham to learn about how you can create a volunteering programme that support the physical and mental wellbeing of your volunteers. Experienced permaculture educator and project leader Paul Paine will talk about the volunteer opportunities that they have created at Ecoworks, with particular reference to working with vulnerable adults at the site.

• Learn about their Dig and Dinner programme, how and why they set it up and the impact that it has had on their volunteers and wider community.
• Take a 90 minute tour of the site, learning about their 30 year history, current projects and see their unusual perennials, our straw bale buildings, water saving systems and forage areas.
• Explore how you could offer wellbeing sessions for volunteers at your project
• Enjoy a delicious Dig and Dinner style lunch
• Meet and network with other project leaders

Tickets cost £20 per person / £12 per person for Permaculture Association members. Find your discount code in your members area of our website and in your Community/ Projects and LAND newsletter.

We are deliberately keeping this event to a maximum of 30 places, so that there will be plenty of opportunity to get to know the group and to have your individual project needs met. Due to this limited amount of places on this course, we are restricting booking to a maximum of  two people from each organisation.

Your ticket includes lunch and refreshments on the day. Please let us know of any dietary, accessibility or wellbeing needs that you have and we will communicate this with your event host.

We will send out an email with all of the practical information about what to bring, travel arrangements, accessibility and the venue closer to the date of the event.
