MPD Coaching Skills Training
This comprehensive program is designed to equip you with the skills and knowledge needed to excel in Ministry Partnership Development (MPD) coaching. At its most basic level, support coaching is partnering with a client to help them increase their self-awareness, discover a biblical perspective and empower them to complete their next steps in order for them to reach their goals. Coaching is a partnership that inspires clients to maximize their potential. Throughout this course, we'll explore how to apply this principle specifically to Ministry Partnership Development.
To participate, attendees must meet two requirements:
- Completed an MPD training within the last 5 years, or read Personal Support Matters within the last 12 months.
- They need to commit to all 6 modules, as each session builds on the previous one. Since the training is highly interactive, sessions will not be recorded.
We're excited to embark on this learning journey with you.

With only 12 spots per cohort, participation is vital to maintaining the flow of the coaching practice within the group. We also ask that all participants dedicate their full attention during the training sessions—joining from a phone or while traveling would not work for this program.
Participants will learn coaching core competencies, new MPD-specific coaching tools, and gain self-awareness that, when brought back to their organizations, will help them coach staff to build their support teams faster and more effectively. The training’s focus on coaching the person, not just the problem, unlocks deeper insights and fosters sustained growth, fully equipping coaches to guide staff toward being fully funded and maintaining a positive attitude toward MPD.
