It is a suite of dances that delve into emotions to overcome grief and a social injustice. One centers on the story of Sean Ellis, a Boston black resident wrongfully accused through police corruption, who was incarcerated for over 21 years.
Currently Joe Gonzalez is a performing artist with Complexions Contemporary Ballet and Jo-Mé Dance Arts Inc. where he is their Resident Choreographer and co-Artistic Director/Founder. González has toured and performed national and internationally with Philadanco!, Anna Myer & Dancers, Prometheus Dance and has danced for DanceIQUAIL, WaheedWorks, #DBdanceproject and others. A thINKING Dance writer cited his solo as “viscerally stunning” in PDP’s presentation of Putty Dance Project in 2023. A BSR writer says he’s quickly becoming “one of my favorite dancers in the city.” He has created commissioned works for Bryn Mawr College, Boston Conservatory, Rowan University and more, and has served on the Dance Faculty at Temple and Georgian Court University.
