Every passive building depends on continuous, balanced ventilation. It's a critical part of all Passive House standards. But designing, installing, and balancing these systems can present challenges, especially in larger multifamily buildings with complex needs.
This workshop is intended to bring together stakeholders from across the Passive House Massachusetts community to have a frank, technical, and constructive conversation about resolving issues related to ventilation. Topics of special focus will include Constant Airflow Regulators or Automatic Balancing Dampers and ventilation measurement best practices.
The first portion of the moderated discussion will focus on how to navigate ventilation issues under current rules and protocols. The second portion will discuss how those rules and protocols could potentially be improved in the future. Feel free to reach out to Alexander Gard-Murray at alexander@phmass.org with any suggestions or questions.
