After 9 years, a new album, my most heartfelt, honest and ambitious album to date , 'Sun' is here.
Music heals..
It's been a journey, this musical road I've chosen. If there's one thing that's certain, is that wherever there is dark in our lives, there is always light. This is what led me to , during the pandemic, realise that I needed to release an album about it .'Sun', as a story , is all about embracing vulnerability in the face of adversity ; it's about hope; about love; about standing up for what's right , and at the end of the day, being ok with it all. Just like the Sun gives life and nurtures , I hope this album will heal you, move you , and take you on a journey that is personal to each and everyone of you. Musically, this album is the most ambitious yet. I'm performing piano, guitar, vocals and arranged each and every track on the album. I've worked hard at finding stellar Athens musicians to help me realise the grand sound , with bass, drums, an a sting quartet. The sound is a culmination of everything I am as a musician, it knows no bounds and it's free. As an indent artist , I'm set on gettign this album out there to the world by working with leading figures in the indecent music scenes in the UK and Canada. Including a beautifully commissioned album cover, album linear notes written by a special guest Artist ( to be revealed soon I'd like to get this album distributed out there both physically and digitally.
So, I need your help, dear friends:) By joining me in my campaign , I'm hoping to the raise the funds of 6,000 euros to go to funding
1) Mixing and Mastering of Album
2) Physical and Digital Distribution
3) Album Cover Design and Promotional Photos
4) Two music videos for first two releases
5) Promotional material including collaboration with local artists inspired by music
6) Special merchandise including postcards and more with song lyrics
7) Album Launch Performance ( TBC)
By helping in anyway you can, there are beautiful rewards. Voice and Songwriting sessions with me; private concerts both in person and online; signed copies of first vinyl and cd orders and more.. Even if you can't contribute yourself, sharing this helps loads! I believe in music as a healing tool. I believe in it's power to elevate and transform ; it's helped me , and it's what I chose this path. 'Sun' is all about that .
May you find the Sun within .
With blessings, Lara Eidi x

About Lara Eidi
Lara Eidi is an artist that thrives on being different. Born in Athens Lebanese- Canadian parents, her entire life and career is that of a singer- songwriter ,multi-instrumentalist, educator and writer. Undefined by style, Lara’s music has earned her own unique place in the music world as a storyteller, jazz and folk singer, composer and recording artist heard at venues in London including the Barbican, St Martins in the Fields, Green Note, Edinburgh Festival, Beirut International Festival to name a few. Her music has gained her critical acclaim as an artist with a truly unique voice (BBC Artist, 2020- 2021), who manages to shift between musical styles and vocations owed to her diverse background as a singer ( Guildhall School of Music and Drama ) ; writer ( English Literature from the University of St. Andrews) and educator. Lara's passion and artistry comes from a pure and authentic drive to connect with audience members as well as students, creating a space where the healing power of music can be felt by all. Recently supported by Hawkwood College and the Francis W Reckitt Arts Trust, Lara's latest , her latest music is a huge shift in really allowing for her biggest and fullest sound to take flight.
Aside from music, Lara found joy during the pandemic as a music journalist. After only 2 years, she headed the Folk and Jazz section as Editor for Backseat Mafia ( Bristol); joined the stellar award winning Women in Jazz Media Team as a writer , and launched her very first podcast on songwriting ' The Notes Between' with Women in Jazz Media. As an educator, she founded her own teaching platform, guiding everyone in all walks of life as a singer, songwriter and music for well being facilitator. An adamant believer in the healing power of voice, she recently developed and founded 'From Body To Voice' , working alongside leading medical professionals in the fields of Osteopathy and more. Finally, her passion for music as a life choice has led her to become an in demand educator , offering workshops at leading music institutions as well as community spaces in Europe.
Bottom line: if there is music to be heard, there's a story to be told. Music is a way of life for Lara. There's room in this world for everyone, she says, and music is that force of nature that can help us see that .
"Lara Eidi is one of those singers who connects with the audience as soon as she starts to sing. Perhaps psychologists can explain the gift – and it is a gift "Sandy Brown Jazz- London
