As part of our new Through the Lens lecture series, join Trish Lambe, Artistic Director, Photo Museum Ireland, for this illustrated talk exploring Ireland's rich photographic heritage. Discover amazing photographs that chart the development of photography in Ireland from the first photographs made by the earliest pioneers right up to today's dynamic photographic artists.

Trish will also guide you through the Photo Museum Ireland’s interactive timeline of the history of photography in Ireland. This unique educational resource brings together a compelling array of photos spanning more than 180 years, situating the development of photography in Ireland within broader historical and artistic movements. Trish will look at the changing role of photography in society from the earliest expensive one-off photographs through to today’s image saturated world.
