This workshop begins with movement warm-up, followed by the title lecture “The Zen of Alvin & The Chipmunks”…Then we’ll dive head first into integrating movement, language, music, and social interactions! This into a cohesive. This session promises to deepen your understanding of our human experience and your insight into the fabric of reality. Akil Apollo Davis is a full-time transdisciplinary Performing Artist and theater professor of Mask and art aesthetic. He has extensive training in various dance forms and is a master teacher of the Brahe-Davis method of Mask. Akil is also an award-winning director, rapper, poet and a creator of movement meditations and inspirational thought paradigms. As Theatre Professor of Mask & Art Aesthetics he has taught previously at NYU, SUNY Purchase and more. He taught at the prestigious William Esper Studio for almost 15 years and has created original lectures and movement meditations on Mask, transformation, honing the creative spirit and training the body, mind and creative inspiration. Akil's purpose is to channel and distill the "lights" resulting from illuminating the mind, honing spirit, and training the body through art and education.
