Sundown Showdown: Leftover Pickles

Register here for the Sundown Showdown, the 1st ever-Pictona nighttime team Pickleball tournament! This first-of-its-kind tournament at Pictona at Holly Hill will feature an MLP-style team competition. Each team will have two women, two men, and as many as four subs. There will be only six teams in each division, and all your team members must register within seven days of your team captain's registration, or your team will be moved to the waitlist.  
Warm-ups will start at 6 pm, and the competition begins at 7 pm. 

• $50 entry fee for each player, $25 entry fee for subs

Each Player will receive a free t-shirt and medals will be awarded. Subs can purchase a t-shirt for $15. 
Two Age Groups: under 50 and 50 and older (based on age on 12/31/2023)

Skill Levels: 3.0, 3.5, 4.0, 4.5+ (Skill level is based on the HIGHEST skill level on the team)

Cut-off for registration and to receive free t-shirts is August 3, 2023. Final registration cut-off is August 12, 2023. T-shirts are free to players, so when players get to the screen for a T-Shirt that indicates $15.00, just hit "Next". (Subs pay the $15 if they would like a t-shirt)

Tournament Format (assuming 6 teams in division) *

Round Robin – Each team will play 2 rounds against each of the other 5 teams. A team with 4 players will have each player play a total of 10 games.

Round 1: Women’s Doubles, Men’s Doubles

Round 2: Mixed Doubles, Mixed Doubles

Overall winners will be determined by total number of points during round robin.

Subs can play as many games as a team chooses. However, once a game begins the players must complete the game.

Unlike the MLP, rally scoring will not be used, and no singles games will be played.

Games are to 11, win by 1.
