Join us at Kitchen Barn for a hands-on tart class that will transform how you think about pastry. You'll learn short bread — the classic French sweet tart dough — and master the techniques that separate bakery-quality tarts from the rest: mixing, rolling, lining without tears or shrinkage, and blind baking for a crisp, golden shell. We'll be working with regionally grown, freshly stone-milled flour for a crust with real flavor and character.
We'll then work with three classic fillings — silky lemon curd, vanilla pastry cream, and seasonal strawberry jam — showing how one dough unlocks countless variations.
Each student will take home a lined tart shell ready to bake, filling to finish at home, recipes, and the confidence to tackle any tart recipe. Tarts and Tea will be provided during class.
