A vocal harmony duo fifteen years in the making, Moors & McCumber have done more than just endear themselves to fans - they’ve built a genuine community. Bridging the gap between classic folk rock and present day Americana, they write heartfelt songs directly inspired by life’s experiences.
The sound of Moors & McCumber is adventurous, eclectic, and endlessly creative. Borrowing from rock, pop, blues, folk, and world music, the two multi-instrumentalists defy common logic and embrace spontaneity to bring their stories and songs to life. Their strong vocal harmonies and unconventional instrumentation combine to create a mesmerizing experience. At the center of it all is their evocative songwriting.
Pine Street Church is excited to host James and Kort for an evening of beautiful life-filling music making! Proceeds from the performance will go to benefit and raise awareness for the mission and vision of Trailhead Community's new development, Victory Village - A Trailhead Community, in Boulder.
Trailhead Community develops inclusive housing communities designed specifically for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD), alongside their neurotypical peers, where everyone lives independently while being part of a connected, supportive environment. Residents share access to thoughtfully designed common spaces and are supported by 24/7 on-site staff who focus on safety, connection, and day-to-day community life. Through a resident-led model, neighbors support one another, participate in decision-making, and build real relationships that reduce isolation and increase long-term stability.
Victory Village in Boulder is the next evolution of this work. As a Trailhead Community, it will take what we have learned and expand it into a new region, creating more opportunities for individuals with developmental disabilities and their families to access housing that is both independent and deeply connected. It is not just another development, but a continuation of a model that is already working and needed in communities across Colorado.
This benefit concert supports the development of Victory Village and reflects the kind of intentional community it takes to make this work possible. It helps lay the groundwork for the broader awareness and community support that future residents will rely on.
Pine Street Church, in its mission to practice acceptance with no exceptions, allies with the IDD community in this effort to support progress towards transformative life opportunities. Victory Village will be an important step toward this ideal here in Boulder!
Pine Street Church embraces everyone, and expresses that embrace in its formally adopted and embodied inclusion statement: All human beings are made in the divine image. We invite and welcome ALL to participate and partner in celebration across gender identity, age, race, ethnicity, sexual orientation, cognitive and physical abilities, educational background, and socioeconomic situation.
