Beginner workshop

Everything you need is provided

Paints, brushes, palettes, tools, workspace. Plus a high-quality miniature printed by Silver Heron Studios! We also provide coffee, tea and some snacks. Of course, if you want you can bring your own miniature(s).

A Sunday every month

From 13:00 until 17:00 we make sure to have enough time to get some painting done and dive deeper into the hobby of miniature painting. See the calendar for all upcoming dates.

Close to the center of Utrecht

We are situated in the Ravellaan 13 in Utrecht. An old school building that once housed a center for highly gifted children. Now it is a creative workspace, home to a variety of small companies and startups all connected to Art, Culture or Education.

We cover a variety of techniques

After a short introduction into the basic principles of miniature painting, we focus on techniques including dry-brushing, low layer glazing, shadow and light placement, washes and highlighting. Depending on your skill-level we have the time to dive a bit further into more advanced techniques like wet-blending, multi-layer glazing or NMM and OSL.

Price: 75 Euros p.p. including a high-quality miniature 

Depending on the group size we have additional teachers joining the workshops to make sure that everyone gets a proper amount of attention and hands-on teaching.
