"The Animal Butt Compendium: the ABC of Zoological Rear Ends"
With Dr Joanna Bagniewska
Summary
We all have butts, and we all use them – but not necessarily in the same way. Zoologist Joanna Bagniewska will explore the fascinating topic of animals’ bottoms: from species that breathe through their bums, to those using their derrieres as weapons, and ones that communicate through farting. Whose rear ends can house up to 15 inhabitants? Whose behind provides a snacking opportunity? And which animal’s butt is the most multifunctional – the veritable Swiss Army knife of butts?
Join us for this whirlwind tour of the strangest, fanciest and most incredible behinds of the animal kingdom. Warning: while informative and entertaining, this talk is probably best not served with food.
