""The Changing Landscape of Pornography: from AI Girlfriends to Online Pimps"
With Everyone's Invited

Summary

From AI girlfriends to "get rich quick" pimping schemes, the world of pornography is changing fast - and it's reshaping how people think about sex, relationships, and each other. This talk explores how pornography has been quietly and radically transformed. Violent content has become normalised, mainstream influencers are pushing sexual 'challenge' content, and the real-life impacts are showing up in the testimonies we hear every day.

We'll examine the rise of AI companionship through platforms like Grok and Character.AI, alongside the manosphere's latest money-making model, the online pimp, and the misogyny baked into it. What does all of this mean for violence against women and girls, and for a generation whose understanding of intimacy is being shaped by algorithms?

Over a pint, we'll unpack the hard questions, and explore how we can actually talk about pornography, its effects, with each other.
