"What is Crime, Why do People do it and How to Stop Them?" with Dr. Kieran McCartan

Summary

Understanding the reasons why people commit crime is serious in reducing repeat and first-time offending. In this talk, we will discuss what crime is, who commits it and why, as well as how we can prevent it. The talk will highlight traditional and emerging theories of criminogenic behaviour, before talking about how we should see it as a public health issue and what that means moving forward.
