''Gift-bringers Ain’t what they used to be'' with Andrew Hubert von Staufer
Summary
If you think you know all about Santa Claus, think again!
He was not invented by the Coca Cola company in the 1930s, Clement-Clarke Moore, Charles Dickens or the Germans.
He wasn’t always a nice avuncular figure kind to children and even St Nicholas can’t lay complete claim to him. Indeed, as giftbringer he wasn’t alone, nor was he always He or even It. Sometimes there was She with a very dubious reputation. Oh, and as for a sleigh, what about skis or even a war chariot?
Andrew has been Santa or even ''old Christmas'' on TV and recognised in Lapland by a party of Japanese. He knows his subject inside out. Christmas isn’t just for the kids as you will find out, there’s a lot of very dangerous stuff out there and its origins were very much Adults Only.
