"Everything You Wanted to Know About Sleep but Were Too Afraid to Ask" with Heather Darwall-Smith
Summary
Why do I wake up at 3am? Can I really catch up on sleep at the weekend? Why am I exhausted all day and mysteriously wide awake the second my head hits the pillow? Does cheese actually cause nightmares? And is my smartwatch helping, or just giving me one more thing to worry about?
Starting with five minutes of open questions from the audience, so bring the sleep questions you’ve always wanted to ask but perhaps thought were too weird, too obvious or too embarrassing.
From insomnia, dreams and naps to snoring, hormones, sleep trackers, night owls, 3am awakenings and why your brain suddenly becomes incredibly interested in your entire life history at bedtime, we’ll get into what is actually going on during the roughly third of our lives we spend trying to sleep.
