IMPORTANT TICKETING INFORMATION

Dear Valued Audience Member,

It is with deep disappointment that we’re writing to let you know one of the key players in this weekend’s Blue Horse Opera concert has been bitten by a  case of COVID. The timing couldn’t be worse and we’re all extremely saddened. Unfortunately we have no choice but to reschedule the show.

The new date is Saturday September 20^th, 2025. If you have a ticket for the show on June 14, your current ticket remains valid for the new date. If you can’t make it that night, or for any other reason would like a refund, please let us know by emailing info@pitheatre.com.

The company had their first rehearsal on the weekend and they sounded fantastic. We hope you can stay with us. It’ll be worth the wait!

Prepare to be transported to a sonic frontier where dusty desert soundscapes meet the ghost of Enno Morricone. It's part homage, part reinvention — channeling the spirit of the spaghetti-western while forging a brand-new soundscape that's as expansive as the frontier.

Accompanied by some of Vancouver’s finest from the realms of indie, folk, classical music and dance, Rick Maddocks performs his original, sprawling song-cycle inspired by the climate emergency and spaghetti-western film soundtracks.

‍Blue Horse Opera features a rich and eccentric musical palette, including twangy guitar, soprano vocals, trumpet and flamenco dance … plus a lyrical narrative that plumbs the environmental and emotional depths.
