East Neuk on Film Featuring Guttin' Quines
Guttin' Quines is new short fiction film directed by Duncan Forbes, set in Pittenweem and featuring local residents in the cast. Newlywed Jeannie struggles to adjust to her new life in a Scottish fishing town, until her mother-in-law, Maggie, insists she join the women gutting fish at the harbour, drawing her into a new community.
This will play alongside a special heritage film screening showcasing a selection of moving image works from the National Library's Moving Image Archive, to mark their centenary year. The programme features three short films capturing life in coastal Fife during the 20th century — from fishing communities and harbour scenes to local traditions and everyday village life. You might spot yourself or a loved one on screen!
This a free ticketed event. Followed by a Q&A with the Guttin' Quines cast and crew.
