Navigating differing perspectives, cultural backgrounds, and competing needs can lead to complex interpersonal and structural friction. For faith and community leaders, fostering true inclusion while addressing conflict constructively requires deliberate knowledge, skill, and practical tools.

Developed by Place for Hope, this brand-new training package is designed specifically to help you understand, navigate, and constructively resolve conflict within diverse churches and congregations. Driven directly by stakeholder feedback, we will balance expert-taught content with empowering, self-led reflection to support your pastoral, governance, and community work.

Learning Goals

  • Understand the underlying sources of conflict within diverse congregations and how differing needs impact community dynamics
  • Understand key principles of inclusive communication, healthy boundary-setting, and collaborative problem-solving
  • Apply at least two practical frameworks to facilitate constructive dialogue and manage conflict when tension arises
