Planet Wimborne Green Festival - River Allen Landscape Recovery Project event

Join us for the River Allen Landscape Recovery Project talk on Monday 14th October 2024 at Wimborne Methodist Church Hall.  Doors open at 7pm for refreshments.  The talk will start at 7.30pm and last about an hour.

This pioneering landowner-led project aims to restore the full length of the River Allen, from its source near Monkton-up-Wimborne to its confluence with the Stour at Wimborne Minster.  Join Bronwen Fraser (Project Manager) and Sadie Potter (Ecology Officer) to learn more about their plans to restore this rare and precious chalk stream.

Please also consider donating to Plant Wimborne either on-line (please note an administration charge will be incurred) or on the night to help cover costs for running the event.

Travel arrangements

Please consider travelling to the event by walking, cycling or by bus (buses will drop you off in Wimborne Square and the venue is a 10 minute walk away).  If you do drive (there is a small car park in front of the building and there are car parks in the town) please consider car sharing.

Accessibility & toilets

The Hall is located on the first floor.  There is a ramp up to the front of the building.  The entrance door is on the left and is operated using an automatic opening door button.  There is a lift directly ahead to access the first floor.  There are toilets on the first floor and accessible toilets on the ground and first floor.
