Planet Wimborne Green Festival 2026 - Mushrooms and Mindfulness Walk at Uddens & Cannon Hill Woodlands

A leisurely walk to enjoy woodland wildlife, with a particular focus on mushrooms and other fungi, in collaboration with Friends of Uddens and Cannon Hill Woodlands. We’ll also be exploring how forests can help our mental well-being and creativity, with some fun activities based on mindfulness and forest bathing. Suitable for all the family.

Please arrive at the Cannon Hill Plantation car park entrance off Uddens Drive at 10.15am for a 10.30am start for the tour. The tour should last between about one and one and a half hours.  Please wear appropriate clothes and footwear for this outdoor tour and note some of the route will be on uneven ground.

Travel arrangements

Please meet at the Cannon Hill Plantation car park, off Uddens Drive.  There is parking for a few cars and please consider walking, wheeling or car sharing to the site.

Accessibility

The first part of the planned route is accessible, but to show some of the work being done it will be necessary to take some open, but bumpy, side tracks.  However, the route can be adapted depending on the mobility of the group.
