For all the young parents out there, this springtime foraging walk is an oppurtunity to peacefully explore the magnificent trees and parkland of Hampstead Heath, learning about the wild plants you can use to support the health and nourishment of your family.

During this walk you will learn about powerfully detoxing spring greens, gently healing flowers, potent tree-barks and nourishing roots.

A gentle 2.5 hour meander, packed full of ethnobotanical tales, seasonal advice, and recipes, we will finish up with a wild tea in a secret glade as we go over the plants encountered and how best to prepare them for the year ahead. All participants will also receive a PDF containing information about the plants met, for you to continue learning with over the coming year.

What you will learn:

  • How to identify over 15 wild plants, flowers and trees

  • How to use wild plants to heal and nourish yourself and your family

  • Traditional preparation & storage techniques

Guides:

This walk will be led by Tamara Colchester and Sasha Galitzine
