Summer Foraging Walk - Hampstead Heath, London
This mid-summer foraging walk is an oppurtunity to explore the wild understorey of Hampstead Heath, learning about the many plants and herbs you can gather to support your health and nourishment.
During this walk you will learn about powerfully detoxing herbs, gently healing flowers, potent tree-barks and nourishing roots.
A gentle 2.5 hour meander, packed full of ethnobotanical tales, seasonal advice, and recipes, we will finish up with a wild tea in a secret glade as we go over the plants encountered and how best to prepare them for the year ahead. All participants will also receive a PDF containing information about the plants met, for you to continue learning with over the coming year.
What you will learn:
How to identify over 15 wild plants, flowers and trees
How to use wild plants to heal and nourish yourself and your family
Traditional preparation & storage techniques
