Growing Communities Networking

Come along to our next Growing Communities Networking event!

Whether you work in mental health, support people in your community, run a charity or organisation, or are a business looking to support the wellbeing of your employees, you are very welcome to join us.

And the best bit? It’s FREE to attend – and there will be CAKE!

This month we are delighted to welcome Tesh Conn and Steph Dunnard  from West Howe Community Enterprises who will be bringing you a snapshot of the brilliant things happening across their three community spaces: The Brown (The Henry Brown Centre), The Fern (formerly Fernheath Play) and The Shop (Inspiring Change Charity Shop).

Tesh will introduce Asset-Based Community Development (ABCD) – a way of working that focuses on what’s strong, not what’s wrong! They’ll share their new Better Connected Network and Posied for Growth projects, which bring people together, celebrate local strengths and empower residents and professionals to turn their ideas into action.

Steph will share how they help community-led ideas flourish and how she nurtures new initiatives and supports the volunteers and people who make these spaces what they are. She’ll also introduce a new wellbeing project in development, inspired by the Five Ways to Wellbeing, and would love to explore how the charity can connect with others to build partnerships and help this project grow.
