About Logic Lost
Jakarta-based experimental electronic artist Logic Lost blends aggressive rhythms and immersive textures to craft a dark, visceral sound inspired by the cacophonous urban environments of his home country, Indonesia, and beyond. His work engages with themes of global and local socio-political narratives, modernity and memory, drawing on a perspective rooted in his Indonesian heritage. It functions as both protest and catharsis.
For this performance, he will present a solo, improvised set using the Xhabarabot Voice Machines.
About the performance
Created by Rully Shabara (best known as the vocalist of Senyawa), Xhabarabot Voice Machines are a series of digital, free-to-use, open-source instruments. Initially conceived as an exploration of expanding the potential of the human voice by transforming it into data, the project has since evolved into a broader set of inclusive digital tools.
Each machine is designed to streamline and simplify the creative process while offering diverse methods that move beyond conventional digital instrument logic—from sample sequencers to tools that incorporate the human body and voice. By prioritising improvisation over composition, these machines enable unexpected patterns and forms to emerge through a tailored system of algorithms (not AI).
The project also emphasises the importance of ethical engagement with sound materials, encouraging users to treat them as personalised instruments—both in their source and in the ways they are manipulated.
Book early—capacity is limited to ensure the best possible listening experience.
