Handel Messiah
Platinum Consort presents its sixth annual performance of Handel’s Messiah.
Under the direction of Scott Inglis-Kidger, Platinum brings a distinctive approach to Handel’s masterpiece. Professional consort singers and talented young choristers perform together, with soloists stepping out from the ensemble, reflecting the scale and flexibility of the forces Handel himself knew.
Historically informed but never constrained by tradition, the performance combines the colours of Platinum’s period-instrument orchestra with a fresh and imaginative approach to the score. Familiar choruses and arias are brought vividly to life through bold musical choices, expressive detail and the immediacy of a true ensemble performance.
Now in its sixth year, Platinum’s Messiah offers the chance to hear this much-loved work afresh.
A card-only bar will be open from 6.30pm and during the interval. Doors to the Nave will open at 7.00pm.
