Music with Zazzy Zoe (Monday Afternoons) (Crawlers - 4 Years)

A joyful and sweet musical romp, specially designed for young children and parents by singer-songwriter-parent-educator Zoe Chamberlin!

Day & Time: Mondays from 3 - 4 PM

Ages: Crawlers - 4 years

About: This group meets for open, social play for the first 30 minutes before coming together for a musical circle time led by Zazzy Zoe!

During these interactive music sessions, children will begin to learn and practice simple fundamentals of music, all while having a blast singing and/or acting out silly and engaging songs. Each session is filled with hands-on exploration of musical paraphernalia like shaker eggs, dancing scarves, and drums. Zoe also has an impressive collection of stuffies - many of whom have been known to visit her young friends at music class!

Making music FUN sets the stage for a life-long love and understanding of music, and that’s just what Zazzy Zoe facilitates at Monday Afternoon Music.

This weekly event is a great opportunity for adults to playfully engage with their little ones while meeting fellow parents.

We'd love to have you and your little one join us for a couple of songs on the topics of flora, fauna, friendship, peace, and love...and always a lot of unadulterated silliness!

About Zoe: Zazzy Zoe has been making music with youngsters of various ages for over two decades! She holds a Master's Degree in Linguistics/TESOL from Portland State University and is inspired by teaching language through music. The ukelele is her go-to set of strings! Note to Parents About Circle Gatherings: Although events at Playforest often involve circle gatherings, they are entirely optional for littles ones. Some children may choose to continue with their open play instead of joining the group. Other children might prefer to observe the event peripherally before they are comfortable fully participating. We support children in all periods of their development and encourage parents to relax and help their child enjoy their time at any level of participation.

Here's some important info to know before your visit:

• This event is for children ages 0-4 years. Playforest is specially sized for the littlest learners!

• Children are required to wear non skid socks during play. Appropriate non skid socks may be brought from home or may be purchased at Playforest for $2/pair.

• No outside food is allowed. Playforest offers allergy safe snacks for sale at the front desk.

• Guests are required to sign our digital waiver prior to play. If you arrive at Playforest and still need to sign a waiver, we'd be happy to assist you on our digital kiosk.
