Backroom is one of London’s fastest-growing new writing communities, giving writers, actors and emerging creatives a real platform for bold new work. ENCORE at Playhouse East marks the next step: a premium showcase of longer, sharper SAMPLES pieces, performed by brilliant actors across the week. Two pieces will play each night, with the run also headlined by Alignment, a new horror play by Omar Khan. Built on speed, access and quality, Backroom is creating a pipeline from first draft to staged showcase — and a home for artists ready to make something happen.
