Calling All Earthlings..
A cosmic mind expanding experimental happening to celebrate the 150th birthday of Gustav Holst - Spaceship Earth’s Original Musical Starman 💫
“I believe very strongly that we are largely the result of our surroundings and that we never do anything alone. Everything that is worth doing is the result of several minds playing on each other.” Gustav Holst 🪐
With 1 Million monthly listeners on Spotify, Gustav Holst was among those few iconic English neo romantic classical folk music composers to exert a major global cultural influence on film score, rock, psychedelic, electronic and pop music in the mid-to-late 20th century, and beyond.. from Hitchcock, Star Wars, Ziggy Stardust, Heavy Metal, Sergeant Pepper, Frank Zappa, Flash Gordon & Hogwarts to Bluey..
Funded by the Arts Council England, Holst Spaceship Earth is a contemporary re-imagining aimed at fostering a sense of peace, wellbeing, equality, interconectedness to nature – including concepts around climate awareness – and inclusive community ideas through the legacy and enlightening artistic vision of Gustav Holst.
