Bedroom Bondage with Christian Red
Sat 21 Sep 2024 11:00 AM - 4:00 PM
Arts Bar Hope Street, L1 9BY
Description
There are many different reasons why we might like to explore rope bondage, one of which is to bring a bit of extra excitement to our s3x lives!
This workshop will look at a few aspects of Bedroom Bondage - Chairs, Toys, and Exposure - to improve your technical understanding and help you feel more confident when approaching scenes of an intimate nature. We'll consider why bondage and s3x go together so well, what bound intimacy means to different people, and how to set up our play space in preparation.
Tying to chairs
Chairs are an overlooked resource for kink play. If we can tie to a chair, we can create bondage possibilities in most places that we go. We will develop some core skills (which are also applicable for tying to a bed) and show adaptations for some of the common problems you might encounter.
Incorporating toys
Wands, insertables, and clamps seem like they were made for bondage but they don’t always stay where we’d like them to. With a few pieces of rope, we’ll reduce the possibility of excessive shaking spoiling our fun!
Exciting exposure
Do you ever feel the desire to turn your play partner into a human s3x toy?! Well, this is for you! Here we will consider how different ties can create possibilities for making the best parts of your toy accessible - from more tender explorations to preparing your toy for multiple parties to appreciate. We will consider safety logistics and fallback plans for each delicious situation.
And let's not forget the practicalities around removing and readjusting clothing! Binding someone’s lower limbs before remembering that you should have taken their pants off can be a disappointing experience. Using our cord and our hands, we will dishevel and expose, remodelling our partner as a vulnerable work of art.
We will include a mixture of learning through discussion, theory, demonstrations, and hands-on practice.
Prerequisites and considerations
This course is designed for people with all levels of tying experience. Knowing a basic knot (e.g. reef knot, square knot, granny knot) and a single column tie would be an advantage and will allow you to enjoy the workshop without getting too flustered in the less fun kind of way!
The practical parts are designed to be done in pairs and, due to the intimate nature of the workshop content, we encourage people to come in tying pairs with someone you feel comfortable communicating with around boundaries and practicing this type of tie with. However, if you would love to join us and don't have a willing partner to bring, you are welcome to come solo and we will invite you to pair up on the day and negotiate what you each feel comfortable with. It's entirely possible to focus on the technical aspects of the ties if you prefer!
We are welcoming of respectful humans of all genders, sexualities, and relationship orientations.
Please keep yourself hydrated during the workshop and be mindful of your energy levels. We actively encourage you to choose how you would like to participate - which can include taking additional breaks or observing during hands-on practice time.
The schedule
This workshop taking place on Saturday 21st September. Doors will open at 10.45 am, giving you a chance to settle in, grab a drink, and mingle (if you like) before we get started at 11.00 am. The class itself will run until 4.00 pm with a break for lunch plus shorter, ad-hoc breaks throughout the day if needed.
The venue
The class will take place in one of the studios at ARTS BAR HOPE ST. The studio is on the 3rd floor with both stair and lift access.
If you have any questions about the suitability of this event, please contact us and we can provide the information you need to make an informed decision.
What to wear and bring
Please bring at least four lengths of 7.5 metre rope (between 4-6 mm thickness). If you don't already have some, we have added the option to pre-order some from us, which you will then receive at the beginning of the workshop. If you would like to practice incorporating your own clamps, wands, dildos/detachables, etc. please feel free to bring them along.
Wear comfortable clothing that allows you to move freely. Layers are generally a good idea.
We will provide some cold drinks and light snacks throughout the day. There is a bar on the ground floor of the venue that serves hot and cold drinks. We recommend bringing your own water bottle and a packed lunch.
