Intro to Body Control ONLINE with Christian Red

Pleasure Rebels and The Kinky Classroom are delighted to bring you this online workshop: Intro to Body Control - Holding, Moving & Manipulating with Christian Red. 

This class aims to introduce participants to some of the skills required to physically manipulate their partner (aka 'I want them on the floor, how do I do that?’). These applications are quite wide, ranging from positioning a cooperative partner to forming the basis of a consensual non-consent scene.

We will introduce some basic skills and examine how to integrate them into a variety of scenes.

The techniques in this class are based on martial arts and have been adapted to create less risky techniques for a kink setting, however there is still risk. All participants should understand their own risk profiles, be aware of the physical/emotional potency of BDSM/shibari play and be able to communicate issues with their partner.

What to expect:

This is a live, online hands-on class with elements of lecture and demonstration.

It is suitable for all levels. 

The class will be hosted on Zoom and will also be recorded, allowing you to watch it back if you can't attend live or wish to revisit the content. The recording will remain available for a period of 3 months from the date of recording. 

You are not required to have your camera on during the class, but we encourage you to do so if you would like to receive feedback and, well, it's just kinda nice to see some of your faces too!

We welcome adults of all genders, sexualities, and relationship orientations.

What you'll need to participate: 

Something soft to lie on if you intend to try these techniques on the ground. 

One hank of rope. 

Safety shears.

And a decent internet connection! 

About your hosts:

This course will be led by Christian Red on behalf of The Kinky Classroom and Pleasure Rebels. 

Christian is a rope/takedown teacher based in Nottingham who has been teaching since 2012. His focus as an educator is giving people tools and ideas to express themselves by breaking complex topics into simple ideas. Christian Red's involvement in the kink community has lasted 20 years so far. In recent years, he has taught at Prague Shibari, Athens Rope, Anatomie Studios, Rope On!, Rope Office Hours, String Fling, UKREX, and Oxford Peer Rope. He's a regular guest teacher at The Kinky Classroom and has also appeared on The Kinky Coffee Break podcast. In 2025, Christian created the free rope safety digital publication Knot Without Risk. It has since been translated to 8 languages. Christian has also released over 100 rope video tutorials and has been a frequent contributor to the online platform Shibari Study. He will be accompanied by an experienced rope model each week for the demonstrations and to get the bottom's perspective.

Our model for this class is Sapphicating. Sapphicating (she/her) is sweet, switchy, and a sucker for all things power and control. Involved with the kink scene for over a decade and tying for nearly as long, she seeks movement & technicality as a rigger, and challenge & suffering as a rope model. CNC and takedown have been long-term interests, which she often calls on to handle her rather bratty submissive. Sapph is also a hypnokink & mindplay educator, a collared pet, and a pretty decent cook.
