Willow Weaving Bird Feeder Workshop from Mere Brow Makes

Come and join us for a relaxed and creative workshop where we will be weaving bird feeders from willow, including a light lunch with time to chat and socialise.

This is the perfect session for complete beginners or those with some weaving experience who would like to try something different.

You will learn the absolute basics of willow weaving. Working from a wooden former, you will create the shape of your feeder, learn how to weave a 3 rod wale and use a pairing weave to weave the sides, finishing with a woven handle.

All tools, materials and guidance will be provided by local basket maker and tutor, Paula from Mere Brow Makes, www.merebrowmakes.co.uk.

Although this workshop is suitable for complete beginners, please be aware that working with willow does require good hand strength and dexterity.
