Taster Day | Year 10

Our Year 10 Taster Day offers the perfect opportunity for you to get a taste of what student life is like at Plumpton College.

Do you want to find out what it takes to work on a farm? Do you want to try designing and forging metal? Do you see a future working with animals? Then sign up to the Plumpton College Taster Day to discover where the Land & Environment sector can lead you! 

You will discover what’s involved in the course and the split between academic work and the development of technical skills. It’s also a great chance to explore the campus, and meet course tutors and other prospective students.

The Taster Day runs from 9:00am - 2.30pm, with the opportunity to try two different sessions, one in the morning and one in the afternoon. Please note, the morning and afternoon sessions will be the same so ensure you book two different sessions to get the most out of your experience and day.

Free bus shuttle service from Lewes and Hassocks train station - limited availability

• Morning bus will leave at 8:15am from Lewes & Hassocks train station for arrival at Plumpton College at 8:45am.
  
• At the end of the day, the bus will depart at 2.45pm from Plumpton College with an arrival time of 3.15pm to Lewes & Hassocks train station.

Please bring your own packed lunch with you. Some of our catering outlets will be open if required.

Frequently asked questions

• Once you've booked your ticket, you will receive a confirmation via Ticket Tailor - please check your junk mail if this has not been received.
• Morning and afternoon sessions for each subject area will be the same. To ensure as many students can experience different subject areas, students need to book two different sessions over the day.
• Numbers are limited for each session, so early booking is advised and places will be allocated on a first-come first-served basis.
• The closing date for booking Taster Day sessions is Monday 30th June, 10am
• Following the closing date, you will receive information on attending.
• Please note, we are unable to provide any individual 1-2-1 support on the day.
