Wanderlust — Plus Minus Ensemble with Nina Guo and Joseph Houston

Plus-Minus Ensemble is joined by Berlin based duo Nina Guo (soprano) and Joseph Houston (piano) for two sets with very different flavours. The first half features idiosyncratic songs from Ives, Walshe and Shlomowitz that traverse the silly, exuberant, poetic, dramatic, melodramatic and neurotic.

In the second half, in his 90th birthday year, we present Helmut Lachenmann’s thrilling and virtuosic trio which builds on the interplay between resonance and motion.
