❄️ ❄️WEATHER UPDATE: Little Native Poetry II has been postponed to Saturday 2/7 due to NC snow-riccane II. Reach out to antinoart@antinoart.com for a refund if you can't make the ice-raincheck. ❄️❄️
Word has it the little poetry reading behind the bookcase at Little Native Coffee was a hit. So we're bringing it back.
And this time, you'll get to hear from a lovely and bright feature poet, who's basically word-famous on the internet with work in 60+ literary journals (but is just as overworked and under-appreciated as the rest of us).
- Angelica Whitehorne in conversation with Antino Art
- Open mic(ro) reading
- Jazz vinyls on a turntable
- Art pop-up by Nali Katana
- Poetry-inspired menu items
You'll be lucky to get in because it’s a 10-seat, reservation-only experience. But if you do, grab your caffeinated beverage of choice and follow the energizing voices into the SpeakTEAsy behind the coffee bar. You’ll discover that a little poetry, in hidden places, makes the world a little more personal.
Doors & Mic Sign-Up at 6pm, Poems at 6.30pm

She is the author of the chapbook, The World Is Ending, Say Something That Will Last (Bottle Cap Press, 2022) and the micro-chap, Digital (R)age (Ghost City Press, 2025). She holds pollinators, legumes, and her eight-pound Yorkiepoo in the highest regard. You can find more of her work on Instagram at a.w.ords and on her website: angelicawhitehorne.com

About the host: Antino Art drinks his coffee close to black, but can sometimes be peer pressured by Angelica into drinking matcha -- even if it tastes like earth. Based in Raleigh with roots in South Florida and the Philippines, he's a Little Native Coffee regular whose award-winning word-magic has been featured on 500+ stages. He writes ad copy to feed his daughter and poetry to feed his spirit, with work in Wildscape Lit, Coffee People, Wake Forest Review, Moss Puppy Mag, and a travel poetry collection called Postcards From NowHERE (Bottlecap Press, 2024). He's the co-founder and co-director of Third Angle Poets, a poetry collective for social change. For more, antinoart.com
