A Framework for Biblical Based Counseling
Biblical Based Values. Evidence-Based Practices.
How can mental health professionals integrate a biblical understanding of human nature with sound clinical practices?
A Framework for Biblical Based Counseling introduces a comprehensive approach to understanding psychological health, human development, and meaningful therapeutic change. Grounded in a biblical understanding of human design while incorporating established clinical principles, this training provides professionals with a practical framework for conceptualizing clients, identifying healthy functioning, and facilitating lasting growth.
Rather than simply adding religious techniques to existing therapeutic models, the Framework explores how biblical principles can inform a clinician's understanding of identity, emotional health, relationships, responsibility, and personal development while maintaining professional and ethical standards.
What You'll Explore
The training is organized into three sessions:
1. The Basic Framework
Explore foundational assumptions about human nature, identity, and psychological functioning, including the relationship between the core self, cognition, emotions, and behavior.
2. Defining Healthy Standards
Develop a clearer understanding of psychological health and maturity, including emotional regulation, resilience, healthy relationships, personal responsibility, and integrated functioning.
3. Principles and Strategies of Movement
Explore practical strategies for helping clients move toward greater awareness, intentional action, healthier patterns, and meaningful personal growth.
Who Should Attend?
This training is designed for licensed mental health professionals, counselors, social workers, and other helping professionals interested in understanding how biblical principles can inform ethical, clinically grounded practice.
Pastors and ministry leaders may also benefit from the Framework's approach to understanding human development and supporting personal growth.
